In this life we all are searching; looking for something to define us. We all have different upbringings, backgrounds, and lifestyles that lead us in certain directions in our lives. But to step out and try to do something totally different from what everyone expects you to do, can be a challenge within itself. It's by design that our society somehow tells us that you must be in this line, box, and/or category. But you see, I am my own person-- I cant be put in a category. Beat Assassins was started from this one belief.In mid-summer 2003, I became so frustrated with producing the same generic R&B/Hip-Hop songs. After a while-- it just made me go numb, and the insecurities of changing were always constantly lurking in the back of my mind. "What will they think? What will they say about me? Will they accept this?" But as time went by and life continued, my conscience forced me to just say "F*ck It!Just do it! You've only got one life.
