Ballet is my first love and what I'd hoped to be my life's work. I enjoy live music, photography (I wish I were good at it), window shopping, historic homes, board games (and the name game when Emily's in town), theology, and the performing arts. I'm seriously addicted to chocolate, soda and most forms of sugar. I love ice hockey, college sports (Go Eagles!), and the Red Sox.
Genuine people that do what they love and have a heart for the talents and people God has put in their lives. Milton Hershey (for obvious reasons), Lincoln Kirstein, Joey Tribiani (if he actually existed), Angel Corella, Anthony Hopkins, my grandfather, John Calvin (I have many questions for this one). Wouldn't object to crossing paths with Christian Bale or Tyler Florence either.

Music should either move your soul or make you move. I like everything from classical to indie rock to punk to alternative country (despite years of rebellion against country). Current favorites include Death Cab for Cutie, Angels & Airwaves, Oasis, The Fray, Augustana, AFI, Something Corporate, Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects, The Killers, and The Postal Service. All time favorite bands are The Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox 20, Blink 182, Pete Yorn, Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters, Ryan Adams, and Billy Joel. As a dancer I listen to a lot of classical and thanks to my boss am developing an appreciation for show tunes. I love great movie scores (particularly Little Women, Empire of the Sun, and Edward Scissorhands) and jazz but wish I knew more about it.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Meet Joe Black, The Man Without a Face, Seabiscuit, Little Women, The Phantom of the Opera, Ocean's Eleven, Miracle on 34th Street, Newsies, Mean Girls, Brain Donors, Elf, Batman Begins, Robin Hood: Men In Tights, Amadeus, Dancers, You've Got Mail, The Hunt For Red October, The Three Amigos, Finding Forester, Searching for Bobby Fisher.
The OC was my favorite show until they killed Marissa and now it's so bad I'm embarassed to tell people I was a fan. The Office has replaced it as my new favorite and Friends has always been at the top of my list. My Super Sweet Sixteen is disturbing but terribly entertaining. And Sex and the City has been steadily growing on me. I hate shows about dead people. For some reason I end up watching the Food Network on Saturday mornings (the only time I'm really home). Still can't cook but love to watch Tyler Florence do so. Honestly, I don't watch much TV. I do watch my favorite shows on DVD though. That's the way it should be. Less commercials, more drama.
Currently reading Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs and The Seagull. Just finished Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris and Candyfreak by Steve Almond. Almond is a kindred spirit and a professor from my alma mater. Highly recommended. Past favorites include the Shopaholic series, Diary of a Mad Bride, Night, Heart of Darkness, Farewell to Arms, The Devil Wears Prada, The Proper Bostonians, Mere Christianity, Othello, Hamlet, Dancing On My Grave, Up In The Old Hotel, Dance For A City, The Big Sleep, Little Women, To Kill A Mockingbird, Me Talk Pretty One Day and the Mrs. Piggle Wiggle books. All time favorites are The Great Gatsby, If You Give A Mouse A Cookie, and the Bible, not necessarily in that order.
I've been blessed to know many great people, but Jesus is my only Savior and thus, my only hero. My father and my pastor are the only others that come close and both would tell you how undeserving they are (which is part of what I so greatly admire).
