What do you get for two-thousand one-hundred and ninety days of pain?
At an early age, Marquis Devlin Turner born in Toledo, OH, was no stranger to hardship. From suffering through the passing of his mother at the tender age of six to not knowing his father until he was 8yrs old. By age ten, Marquis took to the streets in search of acceptance and guidance. A decision reflected by many of our urban youths, Marquis fell in love with the grit and grime of the streets. But the streets he so loved would also lead to the demise of his freedom.
Marquis also developed a love for music, even more so than the streets. He saw music as a positive way out. So along with street life he became a polished lyricist, and formed a group called THE FAMILY. With hard work and diligence, Marquis and The Family recorded their first album. The group became well known and respected locally. Performing many shows and being the opening act for numerous well known artists such as Bone Thugs and Harmony, Mac Ten Brother Lynch, UGK and others.
But, street life would eventually catch up to Marquis, and his success would soon be short lived. Six months before their album debut, Marquis was sentenced to six years in prison. And his hopes and dreams would be put on hold while he served two thousand one hundred and ninety days of prison time.
So, what do you get with two-thousand one-hundred and ninety days of pain?
