My roots
I was born in an artist..s family. My mother is a legendary flamenco singer & dancer ( www.myspace.com/gloriabelen ) . In the late 60s she was working in so many places around the world, specially South America and Asia. She lived in Japan for 2 years, then my interest for martial arts and asian culture comes from that fact.
My father used to be a teather actor and actually is an interpretation teacher and movie dubber..s director. So my love for the music and dancing comes from my mother. And my love for the vinyl records and machines, tapes, cd..s, headphones, switches, mixers and sound systems from my father. He has a little home studio where he is recording radio dramas with his friends since 1973. He also has a decent soundtrack, 70..s library music and fx vinyl collection for his mixes, so i always felt very familiar to all that. Until i had my own turntables and mixer i liked to stay in my father..s studio listening music for hours and hours...
The Beginning
Originally, I come from the hip-hop & acid-jazz scenes. In 1995, at the age of 15, i was a regular customer of the Barcelona..s jazzy, funky & groovy nightlife, specially the famous Veneno Night Club.  There i discovered every night the connection between jazzdance, tropicalia, the rare grooves & funk music, as new styles like acid-jazz, trip-hop, house-garage & jungle. Obsessed by these sounds, i began to visit that club almost everyday and at the same time, i started to work in anything for buying black & groovy music vinyl compulsively... till 1999, when i began organizing some underground parties (Groove X-Perience, Last Vibes Of the Year, Voodoo Club), mixing these sounds under a british concept (jazzdance, funk, rare grooves, latin, brazil, jazzy hip-hop, soulful house, jungle-jazzstep). During that period, although i was really interested in some progressive and experimental hip-hop music with a blend of jazz (Guru Jazzmatazz project, Mc Solaar, DJ Krush, Ninja Tune, etc) i collaborated with some local hip-hop crews as turntablist, making concerts around my country and in the south of France.
 
Some of the clubs where i was playing at that period had names like: Al-Andalus (Barcelona), Urbe Bar (Barcelona), Fun Club (Sevilla), Apriti IED and Blue Cheese (Rome) and the Skyfunk parties celebrated in the discotheque Japan (Barcelona) and Nova Bar (Barcelona).
Looking for my place in the jungle city
In 2002 i created the Timeless Club, that was a hidden and real underground club during 6 months in the cellar of a now-disappeared restaurant from barcelona:  we played nu-jazz & soulful house every friday & raw funk on saturdays, with the best local dj's. After the club's permanent closing, the funk sesions were moved to the eclectic Fonfone one tuesday per month and one or two days per month to the big and classic (and with a great and original 70..s looking, perfect for our music) New York Club on weekends. So, thanks to these residences and other events, from 2003 till today, the Timeless Grooves never has stopped spinning in Barcelona.
 
Other clubs where i also was able to bring my sounds at that moment were: 213-Dostrece (Barcelona), Lola Club (Barcelona), Soulful Club (Torino), Elefunk (Sevilla), Café Royale (Barcelona), Le Kitchen (Ourense), Afrodisia (Granada), La Burbuja (Ourense), Esmol Jazz Bar (Girona), Vermell (Manresa), Club 13 (Barcelona) and more...
The history of Timeless Club
At the same time, i created the domain www.timelessclub.tk to contact easily with other dj's, dealers & collectors all over the world. My web offers information about music and records, want/trades list and an Internet radio .
Simultaneously, we are developing the Soulful Essence project, exclusively dedicated to the grooviest house music: soulful, latin, jazzy, deep, disco, garage  & derivatives were able to enjoy until very recently every last friday of the month in the cool  Sinatra from Barcelona. Right now we are looking for a new residence while we continue making some special and private parties related with the most organic style of electronic music with soul.
 
Some other places where i was working at that 2006-2007 period were: Dot (Barcelona), Suborn (Barcelona), Ángel Blau (Andorra), Sugar Club (Barcelona), Gold Club (Rubí), Diobar (Barcelona) and some others.
 
The Asian Tour
My musical spreading is actually focused in Taiwan Republic of China, specially Taipei city, trying to make it funky everywhere with good taste for everyone who is looking to burn down his dancing shoes. Some of these cool places has (or had) names like PlanB, Brown Sugar, MS, Sappho, VU, Central Station and Copa.
 
The 3 friends
While i am in Asia, the other dj..s from my collective are keeping the funky sounds in a very good shape in Barcelona: DJ Acme ( www.myspace.com/facme ) and DJ Turmix ( www.myspace.com/djturmix ) are some of the most respected and experienced dj..s related with funk, boogaloo, disco, afrobeat and soulful house for almost 15 years from Barcelona and Madrid to New York City. Both with some other friends like the french Fred Spider (Plein Gaz Productions, 2Siders) and Harry Callahan (Powder Room) are workin..hard for the Timeless parties in great places like Diobar, Harlem Jazz Club, Mephisto, Margarita Blue and much more..
My style
As a vintage collector, i spin latin jazz, boogaloo, deep funk, soul, brazilian, afro funk and disco. On my contemporary facet, i offer deep, garage, soulful & latin house, cool hip-hop, nu-jazz, electro or broken beat sessions.
The basic concept of my sets are the timeless & positive black sounds.

My roots
Nací en el seno de una familia de artistas. Mi madre es una legendaria cantaora y bailaora de flamenco ( www.myspace.com/gloriabelen ) . A finales de los años 60 estuvo trabajando en varias ciudades alrededor del mundo especialmente en Sudamércia y el Continante Asiático. Vivió en Japón durante unos 2 años, con lo cual mi interés hacia las artes marciales y la cultura asiática provienen de ahí.
Mi padre fue actor de teatro durante su juventud y actualmente es profesor de interpretación y director de actores de doblaje. Así que no es difícil deducir que mi amor por la música y el baile provienen en gran medida de mi madre, mientras que mi pasión por los discos de vinilo, magnetófonos, cintas, botones, auriculares, potenciómetros y otras máquinas, de mi padre. Tiene un pequeño estudio de grabación casero donde ha dedicado su tiempo libre a grabar obras de radioteatro con sus amigos desde el año 1973. También posee una decente colección de bandas sonoras, librerías musicales de los ..70 y cientos de efectos de sonido para sus mezclas. Y es por eso que siempre me he sentido muy familiarizado con todas estas cosas desde mi infancia. Hasta que no pude permitirme tener mis propios platos giradiscos y mezclador, siempre me gustó pasarme días enteros en el estudio de mi padre escuchando la música de su colección y la que mis ahorros me permitían comprar poco a poco...
Los Inicios
Provengo de las escenas hip-hop y acid-jazz. En 1995, con 15 años, conozco el mítico club Veneno de Barcelona. Allí descubro el jazzdance, la tropicalia, los rare grooves y el funk, así como nuevas tendencias como el acid-jazz, trip-hop, house-garage y jungle. Inquieto y obesionado por estos estilos, empiezo a acudir a este club casi diariamente, a la vez que empiezo a trabajar de cualquier cosa para comprar música negra/groovy compulsivamente y a partir de 1999 a organizar algunas fiestas underground (Groove X-Perience, Last Vibes Of the Year, Voodoo Club), mezclando estos sonidos según el concepto de la época (jazzdance, funk, rare grooves, latin, brazil, jazzy hip-hop, soulful house, jungle-jazzstep). En esa etapa, también colaboro paralelamente con algunos grupos de hip-hop locales como turntablist, tocando en varios puntos de España y el sur de Francia.
Algunos de los clubs donde estuve trabajando durante ese período tenían nombres como: Al-Andalus (Barcelona), Urbe Bar (Barcelona), Fun Club (Sevilla), Apriti IED y Blue Cheese (Roma) y las fiestas Skyfunk celebradas en la discoteca Japan y Nova Bar (Barcelona).
Buscando mi lugar en la jungla de asfalto: los inicios del Timeless Club
En 2002 creo el Timeless Club en la bodega de un desaparecido restaurante barcelonés, el cual funciona durante 6 meses de forma totalmente clandestina y underground: los viernes dedicado a sesiones nu-jazz & soulful house y los sábados al puro funk con los mejores dj's locales. Tras el cierre del local, las sesiones de funk se trasladaron al club Fonfone un martes al mes, así como una o dos veces al mes en el New York Club los fines de semana. Gracias a estas residencias y otras sesiones eventuales, desde el año 2003 hasta hoy, los Timeless Grooves no han dejado de sonar en la ciudad condal.
Otros clubs del momento donde pude llevar mi sonido fueron: 213-Dostrece (Barcelona), Lola Club (Barcelona), Soulful Club (Torino), Elefunk (Sevilla), Café Royale (Barcelona), Le Kitchen (Ourense), Afrodisia (Granada), La Burbuja (Ourense), Esmol Jazz Bar (Girona), Vermell (Manresa), Club 13 (Barcelona) y muchos más...
A la vez, creé el dominio www.timelessclub.tk para darme a conocer a través de internet y así poder contactar más fácilmente con otros dj's, dealers & collectors de todo el mundo. La web ofrece información, want/trades list y una radio vía internet. Paralelamente, contamos con el proyecto Soulful Essence, dedicado exclusivamente a la música house más groovy: soulful, latin, afro, jazzy,  deep, disco, garage y derivados se dan cita el último viernes de cada mes en el glamouroso Sinatra de Barcelona.
Otros lugares en los que estuve trabajando durante este período que abarca los años 2006-2007 fueron: Dot (Barcelona), Suborn (Barcelona), Ángel Blau (Andorra), Sugar Club (Barcelona), Gold Club (Rubí), Diobar (Barcelona) y otros tantos.

Presente y futuro: el Tour Asiático
Mi nueva cruzada musical se centra actualmente en Taiwan, Republica de China, principalmente en su capital: Taipei, tratando de llevar el groove a todos los clubs de buen gusto y con un publico avido de bailar los sonidos mas funky.Algunos de estos lugares tienen (o tuvieron) nombres como PlanB, Brown Sugar, MS, Sappho, VU, Central Station y Copa.

Mientras trabajo en Asia, los otros dj..s de mi colectivo mantienen el funk en buena forma desde Barcelona hasta Manhattan: DJ Acme (

www.myspace.com/facme ) y DJ Turmix ( www.myspace.com/djturmix ) son dos de los más respetados y experimentados dj's en todo lo relacionado con funk, boogaloo, disco, afrobeat y soulful house durante aproximadamente 15 años, pinchando de Barcelona, Sevilla y Madrid a Manhattan, de Italia a Suiza. Juntos estamos conquistando el mundo en incontables ciudades de 4 continentes con la mejor música que se pueda ofrecer. Y junto con el amigo Fred Spider (Plein Gaz Productions, 2Siders) de Francia y Harry Callahan (Powder Room) están contribuyendo duramente para que los sonidos más funky y timeless del universo se mantengan en lugares de Barcelona como like Diobar, Harlem Jazz Club, Mephisto, Margarita Blue y muchos más..
Mi estilo
Como coleccionista vintage pincho latin jazz, boogaloo, deep funk, soul, brazilian, afro funk y disco. En mi faceta contemporánea, ofrezco sesiones de deep, garage, soulful & latin house, cool hip-hop, nu-jazz, electro o broken beats.
El concepto básico de mis sesiones son los sonidos negros atemporales y positivos...
