I'm newly 30 and loving it! It's really been a great time in my life, and I wouldn't go back. I started out in college in 1995 with a pre-dentistry major and vocal performance in italian and german opera minor. Not many people know that about me, but I took singing lessons from seventh grade to college level at UWO. I hated school, and wanted to work and make money, so I got a job as a gas station attendant and worked all the way up to store manager of a SuperAmerica store in Appleton. In 1999 I moved to Green Bay, worked at Walgreens in management, and then Associated Bank. I always wanted to go to beauty school, so when I could afford it, I went in fall of 2001. Over five years later, I have my own business, I rent a chair at Tru Colors in DePere, and I also cut hair at Asha Salon in Chicago's Gold Coast; on N. State just off of Michigan Ave.! I work in Chicago one week out of every six. I leave my car in Milwaukee and take the Amtrak down and use the EL, Chicago's public transit or sub system. It's awesome going from little Green Bay, driving everywhere, to huge Chicago, and have to rely on your feet and public transportation to get you around everywhere you want to go! It's a very liberating experience, and I am really liking it so far. Alot of my friends know that I've been working on my Chicago venture for a very long time, about nine months, well, now that it has come, I'm working on my next adventure. I'm going to be purchasing an investment property hopefully by the end of May, early June. A duplex. I think it's time to jump start the financials and get the ball rolling on retirement. I don't want to work all my life, and really would like to have some fun along the way!

My Interests

Hair and fashion, my new BMW, Chicago, gardening and landscaping at home in the spring and summer. I do hunt the deer in the north woods in the fall. I'm a DIY'er at home, so I like to paint, tear rooms apart and rebuild them. I find it really relaxing and I get alot of thinking done as well. I'm sure I'll also be very busy this late spring with my new investment property. I'm not the type of person to sit idle, I go crazy. I love to go out to lunch, riesling wine, rich dark beers, sushi and bloody mary's in the morning. I sometimes like a wild and crazy night out, but yet a calm, quiet chat night at a friends house or mine is awesome as well! My partner and I are kind of estranged, we lead our own seperate career lives, but yet we are the best of friends! I'm completely focused on my career and most of the time it's first priority. I do spin(bike)class three days a week, core(ball)class twice a week, and bowflex at home.

I'd like to meet:

New acquaintences, maybe a travel companion to tag along and enjoy the ride with! I travel very often to Chicago to see my bestfriends Nick, Anna and Donna and now to work, and it's fun to bring friends down to hang out with as well.

Music:

I like some country, Sugarland is my favorite! '80s of course, easy listening, 99.7 The Bay. Martina McBride, Cyndi Lauper and Fleetwood Mac. You probably get the picture by now, nothing too hard. And any kind of stoner music you can think of works for me after midnight, especially if I just so happen to be at Heather's house at 3am with Aimee from Jakes' pizza! John Tesh on the Breeze during my morning drive to spin class isn't that bad either, some will know what I'm talking about!

Movies:

Steel Magnolias, Dirty Dancing, and I'll admit it, Star Wars! Honestly though, I don't really watch that many movies. I guess I don't spend that much time sitting and relaxing. This sounds kinda sad, maybe I should start!!

Television:

Greys, Deperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters, Project Runway, Sex and the City, and I love to watch the 10:00pm news and weather. Otherwise, I'm not really a tv person. Oh, and Jimmy Kimmel is my favorite late night talk show host!

Books:

Genre Magazine, Details, and of course, in the bathroom, Men! Some books make me fall asleep, but I've been reading, "Start Late, Finish Rich," and "How to get started in real estate investing." These keep my interest so I don't fall asleep to them!

Heroes:

Who knows, maybe there will be one to come around someday!
