About Me

i am star dust that has undergone evolution for billions of centuries. my unique strand of DNA has created much of what i am, but as for who i am… well… that’s a different story. over the past 19 years, my personality has been shaped through the combination of genetics and experience, and it’s still a work in progress. here are a few major traits that i’m grateful to hold…my ability to understand and respect another person’s point of view, even if i disagree; my unconditional love, amazement, and appreciation for life in all it’s forms; my ability to comprehend science on a technical level so i can fully appreciate the laws of nature and the wonders of the universe; my ability to keep my mind open and not be afraid to have my beliefs and ideas changed; my ability to find humor in almost anything; my body’s healthy and active condition; and my ability to take a step back from myself and my situation and see it for what it is... without my own biased opinion.the only thing that i am sad to have learned in these 19 years is that my species contains members that do not care. some do not care about the well-being of fellow living beings… about honesty, truth, or lies… about hate, suffering, or destruction… about love, cooperation, or generocity. some do not care about anything but themselves… and that hurts me. it hurts to know that my life is meaningless and unimportant to some…but i can’t let that get me down off this cloud. this is my cloud, and i work with it to create my reality… a reality i prefer to be full of happiness, peace, and love. i know that there is much pain and anger in the world… i know that i will suffer in some days, and thrive in others. i know i must enjoy this life, fore i do not know if my consiousness will have another.my name is teri and i am myself."legalize it, don't criticize it."

HOW ABOUT FAVORITE QUOTE INSTEAD: "When peoples beliefs are extemely common we call them 'religious'; otherwise, they are likely to be called 'mad,' 'psychotic,' or 'delusional.' Most people of faith are perfectly sane of course, even those who commit atrocities on account of their beliefs. But what is the difference between a man who believes that God will reward him with seventy-two virgins if he kills a score of Jewish teenagers, and one who believes that creatures from Alpha Centauri are beaming him messages of world peace through his hair dryer?" - The End of Faith by Sam Harris
