TDI: The Last ComingDont ever stop doing what you are doing no matter the
circumstance. No one will help you, you just gotta do you. This shouldnt be classified as simple words of wisdom; its a
street-laden proverb that helped introduce the masses far and wide to
Hip Hops next superstar, TdiBirthed in the Bronx, New York to loving parents of Hispanic decent,
Tdi, was raised as the middle child between two sisters and quickly
became his fathers pride and joy, sparkling with the intuitive
promise of greatness. Under the lift of his mothers strong religious
background, he and his sisters grew up in the Kingdom Hall as
Jehovahs Witnesses and in his early years, enrolled himself in his
public schools choir. When it became time for higher learning, the
bourgeoning faddishness of vintage Hip-Hop blew Tdis mind and he
quickly adapted to the booming culture by becoming a popular graf
artist, branding his distinct tag all throughout his neighborhood. When
Hip Hops sub-genre of emceeing took the world stage, Tdi and his
friends were deeply affected by the up and coming performers at the time
and quickly transcribed their appreciation for the movement into
hobby-driven rap.At Stevenson High, also attended by female rapper and fellow Bronx
native Remy Martin, Tdi became antisocial. He didnt host many social
circles and kept to himself. Eventually High School felt like a burden.
No longer captivated intellectually, he lost interest, dropped out and
joined Americas working class. The first job he held was at a
McDonalds Restaurant soon followed by a job in carpentry. Rather than
allowing society and urban statistics to deal his chips, Tdi and his
longtime friend Preme began to use Premes studio to make music. They
hit the street, vending their music to friends, family and people
supportive of their movement. In 2001, the pair landed an audition at SIR studios and surged the
circuit of Open MICs at clubs like Legends in the Bronx amongst others.
The response left him hungry for more but just as he was gearing up to
expand his career as an artist, his father and number one supporter
passed away. Upon his fathers passing, he grew more motivated and
inspired to make a success of himself. Making his father proud, he
formalized his career aspiration and found a manager. His first manager, Tank, introduced him to the Ruff Ryders imprint in
2002. With numerous battles under his belt, Tdi was disappointed that he
still had not yet established a name for himself. After several fallouts
with various managers, Tdi turned to a long time friend, Gov., CEO of
HOOD2HOOD Records. Under Govs tutelage, Tdi began to progress and won
consecutive battles at the acclaimed Fight Klub. His success at the
battles sparked a buzz-lit fuse around Tdis name and talent.Last Summer, Tdi conceptualized and launched his first mix-tape, Bronx
Day, a raw catalogue of grit-centered imagery documenting his times and
travels throughout Hip-Hops birthplace. Pregnant with detail, Bronx
Day weaves his well-received street aesthetics into the pop
sensibilities of a modern day superstar. As the tape circulated, he
continued to battle, keeping his name fresh and current upon the lips
minds of industry tastemakers.Driven to become the success his father envisioned Tdi would be as a
child, Tdi, 23 pursues his career with relentless ambition. He hopes to
utilize his success in support the community and be a role model to
younger men who need strong, positive men to help ignite and direct
their own ambitions. Tdi is currently at work on his first album to
reach stores soon, so keep an eye out in 2006!I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
