At this point Charllotte is working on her next album “ Vingar†(wings)
and has recently recorded a demo @ www.trackingroom.nl with Christian Doepke on piano, Sven Schuster on double-bass and Gunnar Graafmans on drums.
This CD will be in Swedish tounge completely and musically based on Charllotte’s Nordic roots combined with Jazz and other Worldmusic influences. The material involves, besides her own compositions, modern arrangements of Folk and Shepard traditionals aswell as Swedish Jazzclassics.
Charllotte Karlsted is of German-Swedish origin living in Amsterdam since 1998. Here she studied jazz-vocals at the famous local Conservatory. She had the opportunity work with phenomenal vocalists, such as Mark Murphy and Nancy Marano and attended master classes from Bobby McFerrin, Dianne Reeves and Tuck and Patty.During her studies, she also went to Sweden where she explored Swedish Shepard-music and Scandinavian Folk. These influences gave her an own sound and her music the final touch.
