I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a 31 year old "professional" guy. I work for a civil engineering company, and hope to be moving somewhere between downtown and the NW burbs soon. General disdain for anyone/anything without depth or intelligence. High tolerance and appreciation for irreverent humor. Hoping to meet some cool new people on here.

Music:

Favorites over the course of my life have been GnR, Rage Against the Machine, Rancid, The Suicide Machines, Foo Fighters. Currently a big fan of Sublime, Tenacious D, The Bombshell Rocks, and I'm re-discovering alot of classic rock that I missed. If anyone knows any kick-ass punk bands, drop the name on me please! I'm tired of (almost) all my music.

Movies:

I like comedies mostly, but action/thriller/suspense too. Not a big horror or sci-fi fan. I've been known to take a likin to SOME sappy chick flicks too. Favorite comedies: Happy Gilmore, Grandma's Boy, Office Space. Action: Superman Returns, The Terminator Series, the Usual Suspects, Heat...

Television:

Seinfeld, Simpsons, South Park, The Sarah Silverman Show, Luckie Louie, Discover and History channel. Basicly, I either want to be either laughing or learning.

Books:

I dont read much anymore. I used to read constantly when I was a kid. Not a big fan of fiction. I like true short stories, but anything thats gonna take me more than a day or two to read will probably end up unfinished.

Heroes:

George Carlin, Doug Stanhope, Henry Rollins. All 3 are verbal entertainers who are colorful, crass, counter-cultural wordsmiths whose idealogies are conducive to my own private little utopian society.

About Kobe and the Bulls

I read Mike Downey's article in the Tribune today, and he enumerated the reasons why it is a huge mistake for the Bulls NOT to jump on this deal. Well, I would have liked to have done one of those poi...
