I was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Rev. Eugene Cherry and Arlie Cherry. I grew up in church and began singing and playing drums at an early age. As a youngster, I developed a love for music. In 1993, I became a member of The Soul Children of Chicago under the leadership of Walt Whitman. Shortly after that I began playing keyboards. In 1996 I attended Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi where I met my beautiful wife, Chrishanna. We tied the knot in November of 2000. In October of 2002, God blessed us with a wonderful son, Jeriah Emmanuel Cherry who passed away in January of 2006. He was truly an angel. In May of 2006 I started Cherrytimusic and Jeriah's Song PubIishing in his memory. I now reside in Kansas City, Missouri where you can find me playing but mostly tracking and writing. I am pursuing God with all I have, and enjoying the gift of life.
