Cute MySpace Layouts
I am happily married and a mother of three children ranging from 23 to 6 years old. My two oldest boys are from my first marriage and they went to public school. They are now grown up and have moved out of the house. My husband and I are planning on homeschooling our daughter, who happens to have Down Syndrome.
I am the secretary of the Southeast Kansas Down Syndrome Society and enjoy working to help raise awareness that having Down Syndrome is not a negative thing. More than anything, I want people to realize that Down Syndrome is what my daughter has, not who she is.
I am a Christian who loves the Lord and my greatest desire is to learn more about Him. I work on a Christian webpage ( guidedbytruth.com ) which shares the truth of the Scriptures and exposes false teachings within the church. I attend a Southern Baptist church and teach Sunday School and help with Awana. I am not the kind of person who gets into the music and worship style (though I do love music), I simply want a church that teaches the truth from the Bible.
I am a conservative and of course a Republican. God is my number one priority and after that is my family. I have a passion for the truth and my goal is to be guided by truth in all decisions in my life. The greatest Truth of all is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My prayer is that all should come to know Him as He really is. To do that, one must read the Bible which is the complete and final authority for true faith.
I am still working on my weight, though I don't consider it dieting. I am truly making lifestyle changes. I quit the gym and bought a treadmill and joined TOPS with my mom. It's taken a year to get me this far but with everything that has happened these last 4 months I am happy I only put on about 10 pounds instead of all of it. It is truly hard to eat healthy and eat out all the freaking time but living at hospitals leaves out cooking as an option! With things a bit back to normal I am hoping I will shed the rest of these pounds this year.
