I made this page to get more people exposed to Paragliding. The U.S. has a relatively small amount of pilots compared to many countries and we need many more. If you're in the Central California coastal area come out to our dunes and I can teach you how to get started. Learning to fly here in Monterey on our eight miles of dunes is a great way to get you're fundamentals down, later you can blow through the USHPA rating system already knowing how to fly and being able to handle high wind launches so you don't blow one off a 3k face. Then hit the Inland thermal sites and thousands of other site around the world. Record altitudes are around 18k(25msl)with open distances around 250 miles. The sport pays off big but it's all in what you make of it, stay chill on the coast or go big in the mountains or travel the planet with you're wings on you're back......I must "CAUTION" you though, this sport is potentially dangerous, very addictive and has life changing effects. Some side effects include but not limitde to: prologned visits to the windows while working, a sore neck from staring at clouds, actually using ur SUV(to fly the mountains), excessive missed day's from work or never wanting to work, praying to you're wing as if was some mystical deity that grants you special powers, premature weathering of you're face and developing a fetish for thing's that smell like you're paraglider......
Hit me up and I'll give you more details and let's get you out to the beach or you're local site.....
