Forced Anger established themselves in Detroit in 1984 and over the next several years earned a reputation for their confrontational live shows and speedy, anthemic hardcore punk.
Though sometimes finding themselves alienated from a local scene that didn't seem ready for what they were doing they found receptive audiences in places like Flint, Grand Rapids and Toronto.
Though the band broke up in 1991 their reputation seems to have become the stuff of legend. The stories of the band's antics, ordeals and triumphs are remembered today by the fans that they didn't even know they had.
