About Me

Okay, define yourself in a little box. Let's see...New York based actor doing what I can to find my way in the business of show. Born in Small Town, Pennsylvania and raised by parents from Even Smaller Town, West Virginia. I guess you could say I am now a city boy with a hillbilly heart. Yeah...that's nice and cheesy. Mmmmm...Gouda. What?I can currently be seen weekly performing at the National Comedy Theatre. www.manhattancomedy.com.

My Interests

Music:

Billy Joel, Nickel Creek, Chris Thile, Dave Matthews, Amos Lee, Jeff Buckley, U2, Counting Crows, Frank Sinatra, and yes, Broadway...a little bit of everything.

Movies:

Stand By Me, Almost Famous, Say Anything - "I gave her my heart and she gave me a pen" (pretty much all Cameron Crowe), High Fidelity, Rocky (I appreciate the effort of Rocky 5, even if the movie was awful. Rocky Balboa, sweet ass sweet bookend to the Rocky saga)

Television:

The West Wing (brilliant), Scrubs (who doesn't like a cast that's not afraid to dork out?), 30 Rock, The Office

My Blog

and the CYCLE ends

After a 3 week run at the Cherry Lane Theatre, CYCLE closed last Saturday night to a full and enthusiastic house. It's been a great ride, no pun intended. I can honestly say that this cast was one o...

The last two mornings I have had to be at the theater at 7:00AM which, in New York terms, meant that I had to leave my apartment in Williamsburg at 6:15. There is something about the city that early ...

iPods kill friendships

So, I am on the subway platform the other day, waiting patiently for the NQRW train to arrive and I see these two guys, both dressed very similarly, walking down the platform and chatting. They are c...

Rocky Balboa - It ain't over til it's over

Last night, Kevin, Lepine, Cohen and I did what many folks across the country are probably too scared to even think about doing. Last night, we trudged all the way down to the Regal 11 Battery Park C...

Christopher Durang, 30 Rock and a quest for the Holy Grail

Okay, okay...it's been awhile. But things have been busy. So, this entry will act as the "update" entry with a lot of exciting tidbits. I guess my last one acted as an "update" entry as well. So, ...

Long Time, No Blog...

Okay, so it's been awhile.  But I thought that I would take a minute or two to catch up.  Things have been busy, but here are the highlights, the "bullet points" if you will...as it were...v...

When art and life collide...

Another two show day yesterday as we kicked off our final week of performances of Are We There Yet?  Sadness is beginning to set in at the theater a littel bit as we all know that good-byes are o...

What a weekend...

Long time, no blog.  To be perfectly honest, it isn't as if I haven't had the time to do it, I have simply been a bit lazy.  But, I thought that after the weekend that was, I would take a fe...

An Opening to Remember

Long time, no blog.  That's mostly been because I have been crazy busy with trying to get the show up and ready to go.  The last 3 weeks have been a great journey, working on material that, ...

Dixie Chicks: Speak Out or Shut Up?

So, as some of you know, my musical tastes run the spectrum.  But, unlike many of my closest friends, I do have a soft spot for country music.  Maybe it's my roots, but there's something abo...
