FAMILY . rich or poor. old or young. i have the best family ever! i love them regardless of those unforgotten bad memories. i love them for everything they are, everything they've given me, and for loving me silently and splendidly. my family is everything to me. they have conquered so many obstacles, fought so many stones that were thrown at them, and still have the strength to hold their heads up high, be greatful for the things they hold in their bare hands, and smile each and everyday as they struggle to live the life they have all wished for. they are my heroes; and i mean the truest heroes i have ever met.
++Michael Chau. the love of my life thats ever so great even with the slightest flaws. the hero that you only read in fairytales; my knight in shining armor, my guiding inspiration, my soulmate. the best boyfriend, the best bestfriend i could talk to, the best person to seek for comfort; the hero that belongs here not because he is my other half, but because he is me with 10 times the pain, ten times the strength, and ten times the will to succeed. i love you inside outside, and in between.

Yvonne Ip. the best friend; the younger, but more sophisticated side of me; the sister I have always wished for, the girl who was part of my family and let me be apart of hers even though we don't share a drop of the same blood. she is my hero that belongs here for her flaws, the flaws that make her weak but allows people to see the real her, the more human side of her. i love you for every year we've grown up together, for everything you have ever done for me, and every day in the future that awaits another day we build a castle of more memories together.

Kenny Wong. my younger brother who was obligated to put aside part of his childhood to become the man who he was never suppose to be at such a young age. the boy that has become a man as he surpassed levels and levels of pain, days and days of acidic tears, and hour and hours of hopes and dreams that seems unreachable. i love you for the courage you've built up through those years. you're the hero that has made me realize life is not always the best box of chocolate; there are bitter ones, sweet ones, and some that could destroy you.

Allen Thai. the oldest cousin; the role model that is anything but perfect. the imperfection that protected me from a world full of frightening possibilities. the hero that gave up on being the best, the hero that made me fear the future. he is my hero because he is my cousin. he is my guider, my friendly cousin that people mistaken for being someone who is unworthy of greatness. he is tough outside, but has heart of gold. i love this cousin of mine for trying to improve his life, for trying to improve his family's life.

An Huynh the left arm that cries with me, laughs with me, and goes on weird adventures with me. she is the most daring person i have ever met, and also the most soft hearted person i know. like an egg, she's hard on the outside but soft on the inside. she's a walking contradiction, a person that has lived my life with me. i love you for being the best friend ever!
