BIOGRAPHY
Hailing from Buenos Aires, Auvernia is a Metal band with varied influences, ranging from Power Metal, Black Metal, Progressive Metal, to classical arrangements, being this mixture the spirit of their particular sound.
Its origins date back to 1999 when the current members Fernando H. Varela (Voice and Guitar) and Juan P. Verni (Drums) founded the band accompanied by Guido Quaranta in Bass, thus giving the first steps.
By 2000 the band performs its first shows with new line-up, incorporating Pablo Lurbe on Bass, Sebastián Olivera on Rhythm Guitar and Eric Roldan as the new keyboardist.
Over the next few years the band continues performing live, but focuses mainly on composition and the pursuit of their musical identity.
In the meantime, Pablo Lurbe decides to leave the band to fully devote to other musical projects. Eric Roldan takes the same decision, but nontheless he continues to contribute with the band and has an essential role in the recording of the keyboards which will then form part of the first album.
The year 2006 presents itself very productive, Leonardo Boan joins the band to take the place that Pablo Lurbe left free, and immediately devotes to the
recording of the Bass lines for the first production of the band, an EP entitled "You Will Come". It contains 4 tracks that shows for the first time the
band's potential, and makes it available for download from its website. Towards the end of the year they start with the preproduction of the awaited debut album.
In 2007 Maximiliano Vaccaro joins the band as the new keyboard player, completing the line-up.
At the beginning of this year, the band enters Tripart Studio with the goal of completing the recordings for their new album. The recording sessions conclude in September, and from this point until the end of the year it goes to mixing and mastering stages.
Later, the band composes a single as a musical opening for the radio show "Desde el Infierno", and also forms part of the metal compilation "La Estación Records" with the song "How Cruel Is Destiny", distributed in Argentina, Brazil , Chile and Spain.
2008 is the year when the band presents its first album entitled "Towards Eternity." It contains 9 tracks and includes 2 cover songs as bonus tracks: "Blue Blood" by the great Japanese band X-Japan, and "The Show Must Go On" by Queen.
At this point, and because of differences, Maximiliano Vaccaro and Auvernia take separate ways, nontheless the band keeps rehearsing regularly using samplers.
The band is currently promoting its new album, as well as preparing to perform live and show what they can do on stage.
