Nicholas Howard Barker was Born April 25th 1973 in small mining town called Worksop....Currently reside in the city of Sheffield(home of Def Leppard and actor Sean Bean).Started playing drums at the age of 13.. One of The first professional bands he played with was British metal band Cradle of Filth from 1991-1998, he joined Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir in 2000 to 20004. After being removed from the lineup, Barker went on to play with Brujeria,Old Man's Child,Catalepsy,Monolith, Gorgoroth, and Lock Up.As announced on January 15, 2008, Barker is also officially the new drummer for long-standing death metal band Atrocity, and Leaves' Eyes, which consists of the Atrocity lineup in addition to Norway's Liv Kristine. Barker is also playing drums on the forthcoming album by UK death metallers Benediction.Barker's technique incorporates fast double bass drumming, extremely accurate blast beats, odd time signatured multi-tom fills and precise dynamic accuracy.His influences include: Neil Peart,Gene Hoglan,Nicko McBrain,John Bonham,Dave Lombardo,Stewart Copeland,Pete Sandoval,Phil Collins
