About Me

Dan hails from Manchester, England and has been playing drums since the age of 13, turning professional at 18. Heavily influenced by groove based drummers such as Keith Carlock, Steve Gadd and Jeff Porcaro, Dan is regularly called upon to lay down tracks for many pop/rock/soul/funk acts. At 18 Dan toured the U.K and Europe for two years with two different musicals dedicated to the music of the 60's and 70's. At the end of the tour Dan was accepted to the world famous Berklee College Of Music where he earned his degree in performance. Whilst in America, Dan played with the elite musicians that Berklee and the U.S has to offer, playing with such names as Charlie Worsham, Hilary Mcrae (Universal Recording artist ) and Marty Walsh (Neil Diamond, Supertramp). Dan was also lucky enough to play at such esteemed venues as: Rockwood Music Hall, CBGB'S, The Bitter End, The Berklee Performance Center, Artwood Park and appeared on F0X 25 with The Juliet Lloyd Band. In the summer of 2007 Dan performed with The Young Republic on 3 different stages at Glastonbury as well as appearing on XFM with John Kennedy. Dan has also recorded on the same albums with such artists as Abe Laboriel, Vinnie Colaiutia and Meshell N'degeocello. Dan spent two years as the drummer for singer/songwriter Juliet Lloyd and is featured on her new album "Leave the Light on" avilable on i-tunes, Dan can also be heard on the "Stories" album by Krysta Youngs. In the summer of 2007, Dan performed in front of 10,000 people opening for the band America, in Niagra Falls. In 2008 Dan could be heard playing drums on the soundtrack to the MTV show "The Hills" as well as appearing on the DVD. Dan now resides in London, England and spent 2008/09 touring the UK and Ireland playing the part of Jerry Allison in the West End musical "Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story". Dan has just come back from Germany promoting the German version of the show. Currently Dan is appearing in the Bill Kenwright and Universal Music production "Dreamboats and Petticoats" with tour dates booked until June 2010. In the summer of 2010 Dan will be heard on a new album featuring Billy Sherwood (YES), John Robinson (Michael Jackson) and Abraham Laboriel (Stevie Wonder).
