Maurissa Music

My name is Maurissa. I play many different instruments, and have been playing music formally since I was five years old. I never really got around to making something out of it, though. I've decided that I am going to try to take my music somewhere rather than just having it as a hobby. Writing and recording my songs is time consuming, and time is something I don't have a lot of. I try and write and record when I have time, and when I do, you'll see it here. ,

Sounds Like: As of yet, I have no specific sound. I don't plan to ever have one, because I'd like to make music of various genres. Some of my songs are acoustic sounding where I've recorded with just a guitar, sometimes I sing and use vocal percussion and mandolin, sometimes I write classical pieces. I hope to one day work with a synth and create something comparable to Jono Evan's work. I'm inspired by quite a few bands, but I don't aim to sound exactly like any of them, because that would defeat the purpose of making my own music.
