Irvin Berlin once wrote, “Life is 10% of what you make it, and 90% of how you take it.†Those words can sum up my life. It is all in how you take it. My life has not been a bed of roses, but has been exactly what God has meant for it to be. I have endured many heart aches in this life, but have learned to take them all like a grain of salt.
I have three handsome sons and two beautiful step daughters who all hold huge chunks of my heart. There are never moments of silence in my household and all of my time is consumed by them.
I am stuck in a job in which I enjoy, but yet I strive for more. I hate working for corporate America, but it pays the bills….
I love my flops…chicken nachos….strawberry chapstick....a full moon on a winters night…and the sand between my toes….I live for weekend road trips, especially to the beach, and the laughter of my children. My heart aches for those who are less fortunate than I and I yearn to talk to my Mom just one last time.
I am passionate about people, football, and God. I despise to be lied to, yet forgive quickly, after all life is 90% of how you take it. I have come to the realization that God has a perfect plan for each of us, and I am assured that my life is exactly as God planned it to be. Most people say I am shy, but I warm up fairly quickly. I treasure moments with loved ones and encourage others to just savor the moment sometimes.
I firmly believe that nothing changes until something moves and that is what I am all about…moving to change the wrong things in my life to the right things. After all, its not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.
