Joe Manish, born Jeroen Kamerling, better know as “Joeâ€, came to see the light of day in the year of our Lord 1978 in Rotterdam the Netherlands.
Experiencing sounds by Pink Floyd and others alike, his growing interest in electronic sounds ensured that music was being listened to and experimented with from a young age. 2 Tapedecks were the 1st to undergo the hands to try and get transitions from one song to the next.
And then it happened, somewhere in the mid-90’s. The 1st turntables (Technics SL D3’s) accompanied by a borrowed mixer. Starting with industrial techno and old phunk, experiments were the order of the day. It didn’t take long before Joe was spinning tunes at neighbourhood parties, setting the roof on fire.
Throughout the years, Joe started varying the styles, shifting towards more danceable music. An eargasmic experience, a story with a feeling, that’s what Joe strives for … And he does hope that people experience the same when they listen to his mixes.
Joe did his thing in the following venues: Nighttown, Off Corso, Club zonder Concessies, Catwalk, Bootleg DJ Cafe, Twstd dj cafe
…and he shared line-ups with the following dj’s: Loco Dice, Karotte, Nuno dos Santos, Joris Voorn, Chip & Dale, Paul Hazendonk, Taras van de Voorde, Qbical, Tundra, DJ Robbie Pardoel, James Nidecker, Harm Rhebergen, Randoman, Eric B Young, Sandeep, Commu, Piet van Dongen, Joey Daniel and Invite…
