Vocals & Guitar - Ryan Lake aka The Maestro------------------------------------- Bass Guitar - Jay Woodward aka Johnny Ruthless--------------------------------- Drums - Jason Midkiff aka Bitchkiff------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------- U.D.S. has been around since we were in 8th grade! It started off as just Ryan (Vocals,Guitars) and Jason (Drums) jamming in Jasons room daily in Litchfield Park and soon after picked up Ryan Badsgard on bass guitar. After a couple of months we got another member Justin Bastedo (Vocals,Guitar) and started writing tons of songs. A year or two later Justin moved down to Sacramento CA with his family. After a devastating member loss Ryan and Jason started over once again. We wrote alot of new material and started playing shows at the age of 16. Soon after they found a new singer with a rap influence to add to Ryans reggae style named Steve Bulfer. After playing alot of shows with Steve including Edge Fest 2000 (Opening for Bush, Pennywise, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Cypress Hill, Methods of Mayhem and many more) we recorded a demo with Michael Beck (The Edge) and started putting our names out there. After getting a strong following in our hometown of Litchfield Park we started playing alot of shows on the east side of town. After a year or so we started to see a change in the members, Steve starting an excellent rap career (Look up Habitatt in our friends list) and Ryan Badsgard starting to dislike the way our style was going, Ryan and Jason Started over one more time and recruited the missing link Jay Woodward on bass and Ryan Doing all the vocals. Since then we have been playing every location in the Phoenix area (literally) and opening for such acts as: Authority Zero, Slightly Stoopid, Guttermouth, and many other popular groups. We play on the Westside at least once a month but play our shows mainly on the east side (Tempe, Scottsdale) due to the heavy music scene out there. I want to thank all of our loyal fans who have come from all ends of Arizona to come see us play regularly and a huge shout out to the Litchfield Park homies and to the friends/fans I grew up with in Agua Fria High School!
