David Lopez is Dizmix International Mixologist known from Brisbane to Spokane.One would be hard pressed to name very many mixers or engineers who have been nominated for both a Grammy and an Emmy and also, considered a seasoned veteran with a long list of illustrious credits... before the age of 30. These are among a few of the many achievements up the sleeve of the Los Angeles-based David "Dizmix" Lopez, but David is not one to rest on his laurels or defect from the very things that have earned his status. Hip Hop staples WC and DJ Crazy Toones dubbed him "The Pro Tools Masta," and the name spread like wildfire, adopted by many other vets as an appropriate name for the recording wunderkind. Lopez has already carved out a solid reputation with his signature "drops," rich bass, and creative approaches to sound recording, as a most respected and trusted mixer, engineer and producer for many of today's hottest recording artists, a number of independent acts, as well as film and television projects. An accomplished pianist, Lopez has also been asked to perform on a number of his productions for clients, and he has also garnered co-songwriting credits on several releases with frequent collaborator, the iconic Ice Cube.
