About Me

My Transformer: Jazz Lives
Sword of Truth
"The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with."
Marty Feldman

3 Words that best describe me:
Energetic
Passionate
Unique
Some people have considered me to be a Jack of all trades, but here's a more concise description of who I am.
Engineer, martial artist, musician, graphical artist
I am an Industrial and Systems Engineer, which basically encompasses making systems run as efficiently as possible. IE's are renowned for optimizing systems by allowing resources to be used at the highest potential and cutting costs (e.g. inventory) at any part of the supply chain for a given product. We consider time & distance, human factors, machine effort, and the relationship between man and machine- dwelling into ergonomics or biotechnology.
On top of studying to be an engineer, I love to study different forms of martial arts. I've taken Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, and Judo. I once thought about being an ultimate fighter, but I'd have to put my other dreams on hold. I do have an innate talent to fight, but I still need to train, which takes time, effort, broken bones, and loss of blood. For you other mixed martial artists out there, it's good to also study Tai Chi and Yoga, for they are great ways to focus one's energy and supplemental to life in general.
Weapons Exhibition
Surprisingly to some, I am a musician. I joined a band almost a year ago called Phoenix Ash as the lead singer. Please visit our Phoenix Ash website for more information. www.myspace.com/phoenixashmusic
Also, I love to make 2D illustrations and oil paint in my spare time. Flow process or design layout is my specialty, which I have showcased in major projects for school and work.
Possessing many talents isn't always a blessing; sometimes I see it as a curse. My interests in each of my talents draws me in so many directions I sometimes don't know where to focus my energy into.
Sword of Darkness

Robert Burton

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People that can move me like Szpilman did to the German officer in The Pianist.

Leading up to this scene, Wladyslaw Szpilman, played by Adrian Brody, escaped the terror of the Holocaust and has been in hiding for about a year.

Scared shitless, hungry and freezing; Szpilman decides to perform Chopin's Nocturne in C# minor, which ultimately saves his life.

A very moving scene. Furthermore, due to the compassion shown by the German officer, who has an epiphany during the pianist's performance- realizing the wrong doings his country has done to people that have so much to offer.

Quote of the day

Maybe stupid people believe this..."If you kill one person, you are an assassin.  If you kill a million people, you are a conquerer.  If you kill everyone, you are a god."-Conrad Bland
