The Brown Cheese

Sometimes....you have to let art flow over you..

About Me

Formed in the late 1980's ....Shreveport, Louisiana natives Jackson, Terry and Bill started The Brown Cheese as a good dream they had while all living in Dallas, Texas and have kept on playing their bluesy, funky stuff ever since. Jackson (guitar), Terry (bass) and Bill (percussion) launched into their deep, self induced frenzy of making their own style of music after a fateful Lalapalooza concert weekend in New Orleans, when they did some jamming after the show and ate plenty of things that had cheese on it. After all......everything that's good......is nasty!Despite logisitics (Terry/Houston, Bill/Dallas and Jackson/New Orleans).......marriages, real jobs, divorces, hurricanes, having children, getting older by the second and the like......TBC manage to get together a few times a year and RECORD EVERYTHING they do. And we do mean everything........... A mixture of funky smooth grooves......some acoustic, some have a "lounge it up" jazz feel, some rap, some ballads, straight up booger-nosed funk.......and clever, thought-provoking lyrics that range in topics from a dead German philosopher, to delicious frozen fishsticks, to love.....to being really happy in life..................We truly have a sound like no other, that is a spicy smooth gumbo of all our musical influences!TBC has something for everyone......so stop, listen and think! The Brown Cheese will take you out and leave you there. Hit us back and let us find out what you think! And remember what Ole' Frederick Nietzsche said: "Without music.....life would be a mistake." Ahhhh........the power of THE CHEESE!One Love..................... The Brown Cheese
