Realizing she had a raw talent many others only wish they could embody, Ms. Cherry began showcasing her musical ability in elementary school by winning talent shows and participating in musical productions. Ms. Cherry is a triple threat and exactly what the female rap game is lacking. Initially introduced to Streetwize record execs as a vocalist, Ms. Cherry always knew she carried the skills to be a rap artist- “THE RAP ARTIST.” Determined to prove herself, she quickly penned a verse and slipped it in on a song she was asked to sing. Out schooling adult competition in nightclubs and artist showcases all over Atlanta and Florida, her ability to dominate the stage instantly appealed to audiences and let the music industry know she is multi-talented, determined and confident in her ability as an artist. Her smash hit “IT’S WHATEVER” gained her recognition by the city of Atlanta. It also took to the liking of world famed boxing champion Laila Ali, who requested she perform the hit record at a boxing match in 2005. “It’s Whatever” frequented radio stations nationwide and remains a club favorite. Knowing that having talent is often not enough in this industry, Ms. Cherry is serious and committed to developing herself further as an artist, both professionally and artistically. Some of her musical influences include Lauryn Hill, OutKast, and the late Left Eye.
