Java Jive is a spacious private recording studio located on 10 secluded acres in Joelton, Tennessee, only 20 minutes from Nashville's Music Row. The main room features a 48 Input D&R Cinemix Console with moving fader automation and a Pro Tools HD 3 Accel workstation, along with plenty of high-end preamps, equalizers, and compressors as well as an extensive mic collection. The B Room, ably operated by engineer and producer Mark Hornsby, contains another loaded Pro Tools HD3 system and has its own complement of outboard equioment. Java Jive Studio has a variety of great sounding acoustic spaces along with the wonderful collection of new and vintage gear. And, of course, we make a good cup of coffee.
Dave Martin designed and built Java Jive primarily as a place for his own engineering and production work. Dave is happy to work in a wide range of genres; recent productions have included jazz, pop, rock, blues, R&B and country records in addition to a wide range of demos for songwriters and artists.
