About Me

I dont have a style. Im kinda indie one minute and the next im rootsy folk-pop. Iv'e been playin guitar since I was fifteen. I thought id be a folk-singer but all my mates were listening to Metallica and Guns n Poses. I bought an electric guitar. I got turned on to Lindsay Buckingham, Bob Welch and Peter Green from Fleetwood Mac. I got into 60's- beatles, doors, stones hendrix...all that.
Its always been about writing, recording and performing for me. Im no virtuoso Malmstien type wanker. I shied away from jazz and metal. I never took proper lessons or learned tabulature.
I learned from this guy who was giving free lessons down at the local youth centre. Micheal John Azzopardi. He gave me the basics, then it was all about songwriting, expressing yourself, esoteric conversations.....Micheal is a freakin genius. Google him. He turned me on to Joni Mitchell, Tim Buckley and CSN&Y. He introduced me to Zappa but Frank and I didnt really connect.
I've been in heaps of bands playin diffrent instruments in diffrent styles but all i ever wanted to do was record and release an album. I finally did it in 2006. My CD is called A DAY IN THE SUN. I made it on a Boss Br 1600 digital multi-tracker with 1 mic and a bunch of crap i had lyin around. It took 3 years to make. Im kinda like a half- arsed perfectionist, if that means anything. It has flaws but im extremely proud of it!
My next disk is called ROSE COLOURED EYEBALL its gonna be a FREAKIN MASTERPIECE! Im supposed to be finishing 3 tracks to put on my page as a teaser but instead I'm writing this rambling bio...Stay tuned.
