Conspirators of Pleasure, The Pillow Book, Harold and Maude, The Conversation, Brief Encounter, The Piano, Repulsion, Beauty and the Beast (Cocteau), Manchurian Candidate (both versions are good), Excalibur, That Uncertain Feeling (egeshegera!).

Dark Films with boat rides....Aguirre, Wrath of God, Apocalypse Now, The New World, Deliverance.

End of the world films are good, as are shipwreck films like Hell in the Pacific.

Films with unnecessary full-frontal nudity. Anything violent with William Devane in it.

I was quite charmed and wooed by the French film Innocence.

I recently found Half Nelson to be wonderful, and hated Little Miss Sunshine. I'd like to see Pan's Labyrinth.
