-First Year-
Harry, and Ron didn't like me that very much. But neither did the other students. Ron made a terrible accusation towards me about not having any friends. After that I ran into the bathroom and cried while Professor Quirrell let a mountain troll into the school, which happens to find its way into the same bathroom. I was rescued by Harry and Ron, whom Harry convinces to help him in his search for me– Ron knows that if he had not made his thoughtless remark, Hermione would not be crying in the bathroom in the first place.When they are discovered by Professors McGonagall, Snape and Quirrell, I quickly lies about why she was in the bathroom, claiming I had gone looking for the troll myself, thinking I could defeat it because of my knowledge of trolls. I thereby rescued Harry and Ron from punishment for engaging the troll and endearing herself to them by revealing a compassion for them, along with others. The two boys are amazed that I would lie under any circumstance.
-Second Year-
In my second year I had a huge crush on the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Gilderoy Lockhart. Ron constantly teased me about that, but I defended Lockhart, despite the fact that he was an obvious fraud. I started brewing Polyjuice Potion so that Harry and Ron can discover if Draco Malfoy is the Heir of Slytherin. I became friends with Ron's little sister Ginny Weasley.
-Third Year-
In my third year, I decided to take a lot of classes, and since I took a lot of classes it forced me to use the Time Turner which aloud me to go back in time. Which most of my classes where at the same class periods. I suffer from a nervous breakdown due to my exhaustive schedule, though I insist I didn't need to cut down on the number of classes she is taking. I distant myself from my friends for a little while do to the amount of work I had to do. Later on I was suspicious about Harry's Christmas gift, a Firebolt broom, and I reported it to Professor McGonagall, who confiscates it; and again when Ron accuses my new cat, Crookshanks, of killing his pet rat, Scabbers. Ron and Harry unjustly gave me the cold shoulder after this, but their argument is solved when they finally realise I was only trying to help them. During this time, I was the only one who volunteers to help Hagrid prepare for the court case against his hippogriff, Buckbeak, which is amazing, considering I was already taking so many subjects. I take an instant dislike towards Professor Trelawney and her subject, Divination. Towards the end of the year, I storm out of the class after Trelawney predicts Harry's death one time too many, and describes my mind as "hopelessly mundane." My Time-Turner comes in use when Harry and I travel back in time to rescue Sirius Black and Buckbeak.
-Fourth Year-
In my fourth year I attended the Quidditch World Cup with Harry, Ron and Ron's extended family. That was the firt time first time that I became familiar with Viktor Krum, the famous Bulgarian Seeker, himself still a student. I saw him as being a gloomy, off putting fellow, unaware that I will encounter him again at Hogwarts, where he takes to visiting the Hogwarts library frequently just to watch me before approaching me. After getting to know him better I realized that Krum is in fact a genuinely kind hearted person. Then when the Yule Ball took place I was taken to the Yule Ball by Viktor Krum.
