Platnium owner, producer, and rap superstar sensation HotDog is announcing the much anticipated new album 51/50 All Out, available in stores February 21st, 2006. The album precedes the equally anticipated Down South Power Tour of 2006. Artist History The name "HotDog” was given to Larry Brantley as a nickname because of his level of energy. The name came from fans, friends, and relatives ".That's exactly what HotDog is all about. HotDog is a lyrical artist taking urban music to another level. Larry Brantley was born July 17, 1972 in Shreveport, LA. His interest in the entertainment industry began early in life. At the age of twelve, his stepfather M. J. Rasool took notice of his talent and convinced his mother that it should never remain hidden. He was convinced that HotDog needed the proper exposure in order for his talent to grow. He began singing and dancing in numerous local talent shows and continued to perform throughout adolescent years. The artist which evolved from an local disc jockey quartet in the late 90's called the "D.J. Fresh" has since then been actively performing in several outings and concerts around the country creating a new form of rapping, performance and fashion. It was at this time when he made the decision to pursue a career in hip-hop. While performing in several outings and concerts around the country funding became limited, and HotDog’s career began to slow down. Later HotDog’s stepfather began to work for Maleco Records and introduced him to several music industry experts. After years of training HotDog begin to understand what it takes to be successful in the music industry; He trained under their influence for six years before he began putting my knowledge to work. In Aug. of 2004 he released a single titled “Bounce” overseas on Germany’s PARTYFM HIP-HOP RADIO STATION, where it held the #1 position for nearly two months. In 2005 he began to worked on my album titled “51/50 All Out”: while working on my album he conduct a promotional tour of performances around the area in local clubs, concerts, and music conferences, HotDog also signed the HALL OF FAME GUITAR at the Extreme Music Group conference held at the Hard Rock Café in Dallas, Texas. Numerous magazine and news articles have been written about HotDog through out his rap career. HotDog has carved out a culture that allows the young and young at heart to realize that it is possible to be a hip-hop artist and still set a positive, Godly example to the nation. He believes in patience and excellence in all he does, which finally radiates his competence internationally. His vocals will grab your attention when his energy transfers from the microphone to your ears. His sound is a blend of diverse music mixing together with the old and young. The artist writes, produces and performs his music. Looking into the future of hip-hop music in a positive way is a major concern of HotDog.
