If you “never did believe in miracles, I’ve a feeling it’s time to tryâ€.
We have put together the most talented musicians and vocalists to play tribute to one of the best bands ever: Fleetwood Mac…
Based in Northern San Diego County, Fleetwood Max is Southern California’s premier Fleetwood Mac tribute act.
LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM is played by Todd Hidden, an amazing musician/singer. He’s no ‘second hand news’ when he’s tearing into the guitar and singing alongside the two other lead vocalists of the group. Todd can be seen banging the drums in one of San Diego’s best cover bands, Street Heart. He is also playing with The BDBE’s, The Cool Rays and The Flying Circus and has opened for a Chargers Game!
Annie Heller, singing and playing the part of CHRISTINE MCVIE, tickles the ivories in style, and will undoubtedly get your ‘world turning’. Annie has been playing in local bands for 15 years. Currently she sings and plays keyboards once in awhile for Loss of Control, a local cover band, and has also just been invited to sit in once in awhile with StreetHeat and sing a few songs at some of the gigs with the boys. Streetheart has been a San Diego staple for 20 years! She teaches music at three local K-8th grade schools and feels blessed to have met so many fine and danky musicians.
Kim portrays STEVIE NICKS. She ‘rings like a bell through the night’ and will make you believe as she dances with her tambourine. Kim also plays the part of Stevie in Gold Dust Woman, and has fronted a handful of TOP 40's cover bands. "It is an honor to work with such fine musicians. Our harmonies are like no other! The combined talent is second to none, and I am thrilled to be a part of this magic."
Curt Lusk is taking on the role of John McVie. Curt also plays bass in The Blasting Idiots, a cracker jack cover band that plays locally.
Hector Toro ‘breaks the silence’ as MICK FLEETWOOD. He has been playing music for over 25 years. As a drummer he has performed in the San Francisco bay area, and recorded and released Albums/CDs locally and abroad, and has toured the U.S. and Canada. Working as a recording engineer, he has also produced local bands. He also plays in an original project and plays parties with Annie and Doug. Hector is currently working as the director of music for his church where he sings and plays guitar.
“…and it lights up the night, and you see your gypsy.â€
The first 2 songs on our profile are live recordings done by Doug Walker - guitarist and bassist extrodinaire - we wish Doug the very best with all of his solo work. Anyone would be lucky to be in a band with Doug!
And the last 4 are from our show at the San Diego Fair in June 08. Enjoy!
