“Astonishingly innovative, original, and fresh!â€
-Craig Conley
“It sometimes sounds so efficient, so catchy, that it might be mistaken as something commercially standardized… But let’s not forget it remains far too original to be commercial. “Buzz Killed EP†seems short, but in the end you feel: “I need more! Hell, it’s addictive!†In the end, I must admit I’m seduced and surprised. -Heathen Harvest Magazine
“From their guitar-and-synth arrangements reminiscent of Peter Murphy’s brooding solo work, to the very cover art and title of their debut EP Close Enough, ripping off Joy Division’s Closer with a sly wink; their winking attitude carries over into the band’s music as well, to positive effect: Opaq Face manage to avoid taking their own seriousness too seriously.†-100% Unnatural Magazine
“American synthpop could be summarized as rather naïve or anemic compared to their European counterparts, yet Opaq Face's Buzz Killed appears to strive to be something more than club-filler or soft-synth melodrama. This newfound quartet definitely are engaging and different enough to catch the attention of even the casual synthpop fan.†-Vlad McNeally, REGEN Magazine
“Opaq Face’s most easily recognisable resemblance is to Rammstein, maybe with a little bit of Pop Will Eat Itself in the mix.†-Aaron Levy, Exclaim! Magazine
“There's obviously a lot of passion and energy that went into this album. That's all conveyed simply in the vocal performance, as the the vocalist seems to really pour his heart into each and every song, while avoiding sounding overblown or exaggeratedly emotional (read: cheesy).†-Jason Baker, Snythpop.net
