I'm a 30 year old child with an intense love for music and musicians. I've just been thrown into the world of being a single father, and both my 6 year old son and I are going through some big changes. Shiny things excite me, as do pretty cars, and pretty girls. Anyone you ask would probably describe me as pretty laid back, but also the life of the party. I'm a bartender at a new bar in DePere, Wisconsin called "That's What She Said..." and love my job. Right now, I'm attending classes at NWTC for law enforcement, and will graduate in 2008. Why a cop, you ask? There's no better job in the world if you ask me. You're in a direct position to make a difference in people's lives everyday. Given my history, I feel like I owe it to society, and, well...I just like helping people. Also, how many times have you driven past an accident or just someone pulled over on the side of the road and slowed down to look what was going on? To be the one actually involved in that is pretty appealing to me, just not the one being pulled over for once. I plan on moving somewhere out of state when I graduate and working for a city or county agency for 5 - 10 years, and then moving back to make a difference in my own 'hood'.
Enough about that. I mentioned a love for music earlier in this little blurb, and feel like I should elaborate on that a bit. The love I have for music really can't be described as much less than an obsession. I enjoy listening to it almost as much as I enjoy performing. I've been playing guitar for about 18 years, and singing for about 7 or 8. I've been in a few different bands, and have practiced and performed music with some of the best musicians in Green Bay. I miss performing intensely, but right now I know I need to focus on raising my son and finishing school. There will be time for other stuff when I've reached my current goals.
