Released in April of 2006, Ali's first commercial solo compilation, Grace of Doves offers a sampling of music for many moods from ambient to pop - and is designed to be utilized as background music for films, and in therapeutic applications, such as expressive arts therapies and healing arts modalities, as well as in informal settings.With influences reminiscent of Sarah McLaughlin, Peter Gabriel and Enya, Grace of Doves takes the listener on a journey of dynamic moods through the use of layered vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, mandolins, solo piano and keyboards, evocative cellos and violins, ethereal flutes and creative percussion.Having worked in the Music Therapy field for 10 years, Alis intention in creating the music on this CD is to uplift and inspire, and includes music written and performed for creative movement, yogic mantra, meditation, relaxation and stress reduction, spiritual reflection and metaphysical expression.
