NOiSE Songs
New hot young artist out of Cleveland Ohio, hitting the streets real big with mixtape remix's to some of the industries hottest hits. With his extravagant-witty lyricism and cocky swager that only legends possess, NOiSE has created a buz that has listeners going crazy. Born November 9 1987 in Cleveland Ohio, Royel Bridges, as known as "NOiSE", along with older brother, Lonny, was raised by his mother in a single parent household. Unlike some rappers in the industry, NOiSE does not claim to have lived in the projects his entire life. In fact, he was never in a place long enough to even call home as his mom moved him and his brother from apartment to apartment. With his young mother working multiple jobs and attending school to support her family, NOiSE spent most of his childhood on Svec and E. 131st Street with his grandparents, who helped out his mother with the raising of her fatherless son. Only seeing his suspected father a couple times a month, if even that, NOiSE was left with no true father figure. He was told to have had spent some nights crying and wondering why he was not blessed with the life of a normal child with both parents. Him and his brother had different fathers. After violent fights between his parents during his mother’s pregnancy, NOiSE was told by his mother that he was not supposed to make it alive in this world as a baby. She labeled him to be her "Star" and thus Royel Bridges was given the rough nickname of "Rugsby" by his grandmother for the rough life he went through before he even seen light outside of his mothers stomach. A very close relationship between NOiSE, his mother, and his grandmother had began and was to never be broken at this point. With no father around, Royel Bridges aka "Rugs", turned to his older brother for guidance. It was him who introduced NOiSE to Hip-hop and showed him a new style of music that NOiSE had never heard before. Bone-Thugs-In-Harmony, a rap group out of Cleveland Ohio, was the first rap group NOiSE ever listened to, accompanied by a couple artist out of the West Coast. Lonny, NOiSE’s older brother, was involved in the street life that most teens in the inner city induldged themselves in during the 90’s. For a small period of his life, young NOiSE tagged along with his older brother as much as Lonny would let him. Eventually after watching his brother go to jail, get taken out of school, and get yelled at by their mother everynight he came home, NOiSE decided to take a separate path of life, trying to stay out of trouble and keep a smile on his mother’s face. Marietta Arales, NOiSE’s mother, worked hard to keep her son from getting involved in the streets as most teenagers did at the time. When she finally collected the funds to move into a house of her own, out of the city, she did exactly that and moved her sons into a nearby suburb. NOiSE played nearly every sport and continued so all the way up through highschool, in which he lettered in football and track. Besides sports, school, and the saxophone, NOiSE had other talents that he kept secret from his mother and family. NOiSE had a true love for music and, ironically, the only person who knew his secret was the man he called his father. His suspected biological father was a local legend in his younger years who created the hit song known as "Monkey Paw" but because of a drug usage and bad management didn't see the success he was destined to have received. NOiSE’s step-father was also part of a renown singing group called Smooth Approach (the original group). Royel’s mother was also an excellant dancer throughout Cleveland’s urban scene, winning dance contest whenever the opportunity arose. She also practiced ballet, tap dance and even played the violin in her youth years. Music was definitely in Royel’s DNA. At age 9, William Bridges, NOiSE’s suspected biological father, caught his son singing in his living room and to this day reminds NOiSE of the event every chance he gets. From this point on NOiSE would begin his dream of taking the world by storm through music. Being talented in many faucets of music, only one name was suited for the artist. Keeping it secret from his mother, NOiSE and his childhood friend, Justin Cruz, began their first rap/singing group at a very young age. From that point on NOiSE, originally called "Quest", became involved with many other music groups in the city until eventually he was introduced, by friend Brandon Coles, to an independant record label called M.I.A.M.Inc or Money Is A Must Records, as known today. The label had not planned to pick up anymore artist during this time and had plans to focus only on the artist they had already signed. After learning of NOiSE multiple talents, the two heads of the label, Daran Jones and Brandon Kennedy, saw much potential in the multi-talented artist and began to help with the promoting of their newest artist around the United States and even parts of Africa via the internet by digital webpages and podcast. Though the label did have some success through digital means, NOiSE was not satisfied and wanted more. NOiSE wanted the support of his hometown, Cleveland, Ohio, and realized that this would not be possible if they did not know who NOiSE was locally. At this point in life NOiSE set out to make everything happen. He spent his whole summer working a full-time job in the day and spent his nights in his amatuer studio. When asked about such a period in his career NOiSE quoted: "While the other kids were out clubbing, I was in the studio". After an intense working period, NOiSE recorded his first mixtape, "Kappin For Hooks Vol.1". Enviest of, but also inspired by recording artist "Lil Wayne", NOiSE believed that he too could reach the mixtape achievements that "Lil Wayne" reached through his hard work in the studio. He became bothered that people constantly praised "Lil Wayne" as if they too could not accomplish the things he did. NOiSE wanted to make the world see that "Lil Wayne" was not the only artist who could acheive and NOiSE did exactly that in whiched he believed he could. His first ever mixtape was a double disc project with 60 total tracks, including a bonus track. At this point in the project, NOiSE realized that he would need a Dj that was well-known in the city to host the mixtape and boost his clout within the streets. Most of the best Dj’s in the city were expensive if you as an artist were not connected with them in some shape or form. With hardly no money to his name, this was one of the hardest periods, at this point, in NOiSE’s career. Feeling stuck and nearly ready to give up on hope, NOiSE met a well known Dj that went by the name of "Joey Fingaz", of the League Crew, at local artist Pooh Gutta’s house off of E. 105th Street. NOiSE was not just a rapper and an artist who could sing, but also was a practicing Studio Engineer who was very talented for his young age. NOiSE had recorded many songs for his musical peers including Hip-hop, R&B, Gospel, and not to mention every song on his 60 track mixtape. NOiSE also did the recording for the other artists on the M.I.A.M.Inc independent label. After learning that NOiSE was talented in such an area, Joey Fingaz made an agreement with NOiSE in that if he recorded a number of songs for one of Joey’s artist, then Joey Fingaz would host NOiSE’s mixtape for free. NOiSE agreed to the terms and recorded 5 tracks for a well known rapper in Cleveland who goes by the name of "Ray Cash". It was now accomplished, NOiSE finally had acquired a known Dj to host "Kappin For Hooks Vol. 1. NOiSE soon figured out though, that this was not all that he needed to press up his first mixtape completely. NOiSE now needed the final touches to the pressing up of his mixtape and thus needed even more money to accomplish such. He was again at a point of stillness. NOiSE was flat broke. At this point in life he pondered the idea of selling drugs to obtain the fast money needed to accomplish the rest of the funds needed to accomplish his goals. Yet, as if God were watching over him, things again came through in the clutch for NOiSE. In 2006, NOiSE had bought exclusive rights to an expensive beat from Apex Productions over the internet. That same beat was given, by Apex, to the artist "50 Cent" and used for the song "50 Cent" called "I Get Money". Once informed about what had happened, NOiSE got in contact with Apex and questioned the production company on the issue and thus was given a sum of $600 as a refund for NOiSE to remain quiet. At this time NOiSE was in desparate need of funds and excepted the refund not realizing what he had done until it was too late for any legal action to be taken against "50 Cent" or the Production Company who sold the beat to NOiSE. He took the experience as a lesson about the harsh music business he had became involved in. On a positive note though, NOiSE now had the funds to press up his first mixtape and he did so all by himself without the help of a manager or someone to handle the business side of things. NOiSE released his first official mixtape in September of 2007 along with other local artist such as "Pooh Gutta", "Ray Cash", and "Chip Tha Ripper" in the same month. NOiSE hit the streets and hung outside of clubs passing out his mixtape and flyers that promoted the label and his cd. He speaks of times where he and others were even maced by club bouncers outside of the local clubs. Learning the process of success through his own work ethic, NOiSE remains successful today and continues with new music projects and performances. After developing a substantial amount of fans in the city of Cleveland and surrounding cities, NOiSE performed at other local clubs and can now be seen today in Downtown Cleveland or in a city near you. NOiSE is one artist you do not want to look past. Struggles in the music "game" along with his personal life struggles growing up have created the artist we know today as NOiSE. NOiSE stood alone for a part of his career but combined with M.I.A.M.Inc., a hot, up and coming independent label that includes other artist in the Cleveland area. The label hopes to one day be combined or sold, along with its artist, to a larger scale label in hopes to expand and give other artist on M.I.A.M.Inc and in the Cleveland area an opportunity to reach out to the world as NOiSE, himself, has done.
