About Me

Misound is a multimedia project started in 2006 by Marco Iavarone. The Artist featured work in between Audio Pro and Post-Production areas for Music Videos, Videogames, Short Movies, 3D Animations and Audio/Visual Installations. Marco Iavarone is a Music Composer, Sound Designer and Sound Engineer born in Rome. The Italian peninsula is where the Artist crafted his Instrumental skills (Acoustic Guitar and Drums), which was taught by his father (a professional drummer) and also gave him the chance to experiment music playing with various underground italian bands. In November 1999, the Artist moved to London looking for new challenges and the hope of improving his Musical skills. In UK, he met Miguel Marin aka Arbol, which introduced him to Electronic Music and exposed him to different styles of music that influenced the Artist's future works. In 2004, starts the Artist collaboration with Marin and Emiliirecords, which lead the artist to get part on the release of Arbol's "Dreams made of Paper" Album (2005). During the same period, Misound applied to a Degree in Music Technology, which opened a new door to Post-Production and Experimental Audio/Video Installations. Finally in 2007 the idea of starting on solo projects began. "Glympse of you" based on Haruki Murakami's book 'Dance, Dance, Dance' started the series of Audio/Visual Installations using 5.1 Surround Sound and computer processed images. The Installation had his first showing at the 'Shunt Lounge and Theatre Company' in London and after that was shown in Barcelona at the Centre Civic Convent de Sant Agusti' as part of the event 'Emiliirecords plays Haruki Murakami'. Moved by the success of his first project, Misound started collaborating with Director Joanna Strong to 'Memorie' and 'Forma'. The two experimental Music Videos for Misound's songs were shown in various film festivals around London and 'Forma' was finalist of the 212 Innovation Awards 2007. Influenced by his passion for video experimentation and seeking new projects, Misound got in contact with ACTOP a studio based in Barcelona that work on a wide range of media. There, he met 3D Animation Artist Iria Rodriguez Gonzalez and he collaborates with her to the project called 'Orchid'. This experimental 3D Animation featured Music and Sound Design by Misound and was in competiton at Art Futura 2007.Misound is currently working on Film Audio Pro and Post-Production together with his work partner Nikos Nikolalaios. Collaborating with Independent productions and new talented directors like Director Mel Melcer's short film "Guns" and Director of Photography Mikolaj Jaroszewicz, The new Feature film "EVE" by Director Jack Davies and a series of pilot episodes for a TV series by Producer Tor Mian.
