Influences: My influences are my Mother and Father who were always singing around the old house. My big brother Ted who is a singer/songwriter in his own right. Mister Velvet himself Nat "King" Cole, Sam Cook and James Brown, the late great Dennis Brown, Bob Marley, Peter Mcintosh, Bunny Wailer (the original Wailing Wailers) their classic "Dancing Shoes" still gets me rockin'. Then there's Winston Rodney(Burning Spear)whom I had great pleasure in meeting at the "Mayflower" in Southampton in 1987 when we supported him and again at the "Top Rank" in Brighton in the same year. I like good voices, good lyrics and harmonies, and a beat that just can't be beat you know! Life is an influence. It can lift you up when you're down and it can put you down when you're flying high, it can also leave you breathless. Just like a good song! Also my children Jay, Jamie, Natasha, Si&Ieesha who give me the inspiration to write, sing and exist! Rastafari!
