I am Dr. Dan, host of Locals Only on 91.3FM KXCI Tucson. Locals Only airs from 8 to 10pm on Mondays and highlights Tucson artists and bands. You can stream over the internet by going to www.kxci.org and click on "listen now."

Here are some suggestions. 1. Use a full-sized jewel case. The slim jewel cases get lost among the other CD's. If your packaging does not have a jewel case, get one for the copies you leave at the station. 2. Give me 2 CD's. I will review one for the station, keep one for myself so that I will be sure to have your music on hand when I go to play it. 3. I play songs from musicians that are playing out that week. If you want me to play your music, get some gigs... anywhere. 4. For some reason, many young and budding artists think it is good idea to include chatter, guitar tuning, coughs, throat clearing, and conversations with the recording engineer at the beginning or end of their songs. Do not do that. Edit that shit out.
