With hopes of reviving the music industry, the multi-talented Hip-Hop R&B sensation, Young Jilla, is fully equipped to tackle the entertainment industry. With his undeniable talent, incredible voice and songwriting ability, he is someone that the world will know soon. Music has been the central theme in Jilla’s life for as long as he can remember and now, 14 years later, this multi-talented singer, songwriter, producer , and arranger seeks to fulfill his childhood dreams and ambitions. Born and raised in Chicago, IL, he recalls growing up in a household that encouraged him to follow his heart and never look away from his dreams. Ultimately, Young JIlla’s biggest inspiration is his brother who is also musically inclined.... Young Jilla’s love for music deepened and further developed as the years passed. Young Jilla is destined to succeed in all his endeavors. His intelligence coupled wit his experience proves that he is ready to capture the entertainment industry. Simply put, he’s got next!
I GREW UP on the west side of Chicago. Real name is Ca’Mari-Rashun. I Actually began pursuing a music career after I graduated from high school Proviso West to be exact. (smiles) I immediately flew off to the city of dreams New York, there I met a bunch of talent scout’s, Managers Producer’s well known DJ’s Any Title You Can Name.
I MET MY FAVORITE PRODUCER in the whole wide world Timbaland there in New York. He had encouraged me to keep doing what I liked, if music was what I wanted to do, do it and be the best at it. At the time that I met Tim I was more focused on web design and learning the industry before actually indulging in it. While I was in New York I made friends with local DJ’s and local artists. It was an expierence that I will never forget. A couple of year’s later, I flew off to Atlanta Georgia. There I met A young producer by the name Keith. Keith was the first producer that I had a chance to work with I learned alot from him.
I EVENTUALLY CAME HOME back to Chicago, I signed into a contract that promised me a bright future, but that career in music never got off the ground. I than began working on music with my family members seeing that being signed into a contract where I wasn’t making the money he should have I figured I might as well start My own production company. And that’s what i’m doing now with my sister Fabia Stafford and cousin Maurice Stafford. Together we learned vocals, how to use beat machines, sale music and promote.
AS AN ARTIST im like eveybody else enjoy making music and would like to continue as long as I have the desire to.
