Jaclyn
When her previous band, Spawn Of Tofu, failed before it even hardly began, Jaclyn was determined to form another no matter what it took. She’s been writing songs and lyrics since 1999, but has been singing forever, playing piano since 1989, clarinet since 1995, and guitar since 2003. Right when she thought things weren’t progressing much faster than a snail on a highway, she met Melissa. After much thought, the band was created, and that is where we are now.

Melissa
Such a lovely voice Melissa adds to the mix, does she not? Pretty much she’s just along to sit and look pretty and lend some vox here and there. Haha...no; she would kill me (me being Jaclyn) if I said that. Melissa has been tossed around, shoved from school to school and house to house, but now she is here to stay. Focusing on tragic events that have shaped her life regardless of importance, she transfers such feelings deep into her every song she sings.

The Band As A Whole
We both have gone through so much over the years, separately and together. As with most bands these days, we incorporate that into our music. One of the things we’ve done is create a sound that makes you feel and lyrics you can relate to. Do you ever have one of those days where you just want to curl up into a ball deep within your mind and disappear a while? Well, so do we. Perhaps that is why you dig us; we understand what it’s like.
So much has been going on lately that has tested us both as a band and as best friends, but we’ve worked through things. There might be a few slow days, or even months, but that hasn’t stopped us in the past. We are both very passionate about music; it is our lives. Nothing is going to get in the way of our dreams becoming reality. Determination, commitment, love for what we do...that is what will keep us going. Time may try to break us apart, but we are here to stay. We ARE Unspoken Tragedies.
