The punk rock band Not 4 Pigs from Quebec exists since 1999. The band has been form by Samuel Lapointe, David St-Pierre and Etienne Lapointe when they were in secondary schools. First, they played covers of bands like the Satanic Surfers, Screatching Weasel, Mxpx, Big Wig, that kind of things. A couple of months later, they started to compose their own songs.In the first months of 2000 a second guitarist (Jean-Phillipe Fortier) joined the band. A lot of practice hours went by and the number of compositions increased rapidly. Because of they wanted to present their music to the Quebecs youth, Not 4 Pigs recorded their first album at SBM audio studio. Because the recording had cost a lot, they decided to do the production and the distribution by their own. After this episode, the band played at the outdoor music festival Relevenment 2001 which the headliner was Catch 22. At this show, they were able to play for 150 persons and to sell some albums.After that, Jean-Phillipe Fortier leaved the band for personal reasons. One more year of composition and shows passed, so the band recorded a second album in February 2002.They named it Let Them Drink and did all the production. The album was a little bit different from the first one because the influences of the bands members were larger. The band sticked whit their punk rock sound but with more structured songs and deeper lyrics, both whit the same simplicity than before. Then the band participated to a competition called Jeune Releve Relevnment 2002 and was selected during this event. A while after the show, the band received the price of Jeune Releve Relevnment 2002. This price gave them the opportunity to record 30 hours of studio and to hear their music at the radio station CIMI fm 103,7. Because of financial problems, the company never gave them their price.A couple of month passed and the band started the recording of a third album and of a video for the song Let Them Drink with Remi Pineault and the SPNs productions. Since these times, a second guitarist joined (Alexandre Francis). The four members of the band are working to produce the album. The sounds quality will probably be the major difference with the precedents. Some songs of the album Let them drink and some new songs were recorded for a total of 15 fast punk rock songs.
