About Me
Jason Edwards, owner and operator of ProLogix® Percussion, is a well-established performer, educator, columnist, and innovator working throughout the United States.In 1996, Jason began to research and design the ultimate practice tools for drummers; an endeavor that led to the creation of ProLogix® Percussion in 2001. He has since created and patented a series of signature practice pads and accessories with renowned artists Russ Miller, Johnny Rabb, John Riley, Dave Ellis, Steve Fidyk, and Wes Crawford. ProLogix® products such as the Russ Miller “All-N-1†Signature Practice Pad and Brush Maps have been featured in DRUM! and Modern Drummer magazines with great reviews.
In 2007 Jason became a columnist for international magazine Modern Drummer. His first article, “Basic Brush Maps, Tools to Improve Your Brush Playing†was published in the February 2008 Jazz Drummers Workshop column.Jason has studied with educators Jim Chapin, Gary Chaffee, Steve Houghton, Ed Soph, Bob McKee, Mark Gonder, Scott Grewell, Doug Turner, Johnny Fedevich, and the late Bill Roth. In 1991, he began teaching drum set technique, fundamentals and performance to drummers of all ages at professional FIVE STAR dealer Zampino’s Drum Shop. Jason is a member of The Percussive Arts Society, Hudson Music’s Teacher Integration Project and Vic Firth’s PDT Educational Team.Jason has been performing at regional festivals and top area venues with American Roots artist Mike Lenz and Singer/Songwriter Jessica Lea Mayfield. He has performed amongst such artists as Cake, The Avett Brothers, Lucero, Robert Lockwood Jr., War, Jimmy Thackery, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Mary Wilson and the Supremes.
