About Me

H-elping E-xpose A-rtist of T-oronto / H-elping E-xpand A-frican T-alent Heat Dvd is the hottest thing on the streets right now. Where else can you get real urban, TV quality entertainment on Dvd. “HEAT” is a reality show committed to exposing Toronto artists and business. Our special technique is to mix upcoming local artist with international artists in order to have a unique blend of underground and mainstream, local and international. We feature icons such as “G-Unit, Erykah Badu, Common, Big Apple, Lindo-P, K-OS, Dip-Set, Belly, Machel Mantano, Alison Hinds, Beenie Man, Junior Reid, Sean Kingston, Empire Crew, Trinity Chris and much more. Our famous slogan is T-dot to N.Y. because those are the two main centers that we cover in terms of content and distribution. As it stands right now, there is not one urban dvd magazine that can top our quality of production and our connection to the target demographic. Volume 5 is a perfect reflection of the reggae scene last summer. Beginning with Jr. Reid the Legend performing live in a Brooklyn park, interviews from Mavado and Sean Kingston and then bringing it home to the largest festival in North America “Caribana” featuring Vivica Fox, DJ Power, Spex, Mad Linx, Little X and much more. Volume 6 is focused on Caribbean culture beginning with the world famous Trinidad Carnival 2008 where we show the origin of this festival and crazy Soca jump-up jump-up. Then we bring it over to Brooklyn New York for the Labor Day Parade featuring Alison Hinds and an in depth interview with the biggest Soca artist in the world Machel Mantano. We finish it of with a beautiful bonus call “Models That Speak” featuring the 2007 winner of the “Miss Caribbean Pagent” Volume 7 is in the process of production and will feature a list of local artists. We go to the heart of Brooklyn in Marcy Projects for an interview with Kalvin Klien (the guy who spent 15 years in prison for Jay-Z). Then we feature clips from the Black August Show in N.Y.C. with Dead Prez, Most Def, Talib Kweli, Common, Young Joc and more. We are in the process of Securing heavy sponsorship and government funding in order to increase our circulation and promotion. We are also creating a program to incorporate underprivileged and high-risk youth in the creation and production of HEAT Dvd as a way of giving back to the community. We have a variety of sponsorship and advertising opportunities for artists and business at a low cost starting and $150. We currently have an estimated circulation of 25,00 unique viewers and expect an average of three plays per viewer. In other words, each our Dvds will be viewed 50,000 times. There is no better means of promotion for urban products & services.Email : [email protected] website : www.HeatSeries.comThis is the first urban dvd in Toronto designed to actually push local talent instead of local criminals. Our business is to give our artist a professional product that still allows them to be themselves in their own domain. We realize that it's very difficult for Canadians to compete with American megastars at their own game, so Heat Dvd has begun to change the rules. We've started with a name that gets the attention of anyone who hates the cold. A shorter name means bigger letters and more visibility. We are working on having a strong presence on the internet in order to capture the global audience. We plug Toronto artist in with American content in order to benefit from competitors. Retail ready Heat Dvds will be pushed in Toronto & GTA, Montreal, Detroit, New York & New Jersey so that artist can easily follow up with a tour or mix-tape distribution. We offer discounted rates on advertising for small business that are fully funtional but need promotion. We give promotional copies to individuals and groups that have big voices and popularity in the community as well as the industry. Heat Dvd intends to focus on positive content and encourages the artist and businesses involved to be original so that we may carve our own niche in the music industry instead of walking in the shadows of more established entertainers. We also intend to maintain the highest production quality and expose only the best of the best artist in order to establish a reputation for heat Dvd and Canada altogether.
