I first started producing music back in 1998 using the classic music production tool on PS 1 "Music", back in those days though I was limited on my ability`s and tools, lets face it a playstation gamepad can never make up for a keyboard and mixer. As time moved on I saved up some cash and went ahead to buy my very first pc in 2000, that was my starting point for searching more adventurous methods of production while baring in mind I only had a weak pc (400mhz cpu and 64mb ram). I first hit (dare I say) Ejay, dance Ejay to be exact, thought it was good at first, mixed my first tune then thought hangon....what else can I do with it? Not much it seemed, so I tried the newer Ejays which frankly lead to more frustration as I didn`t feel fully involved in the production, and worse still I couldn`t help but feel that no matter what I did in it...somebody else had already done it. Couldn`t be doing with that, so I saved up and eventually bought a new upgraded computer, and overtime built it up and got proper music hardware as I explored "Reason", then onto FL Studio and beyond.
2001 I started Dj`ing for local pubs and small clubs, ranging my entertainment types from karaoke to full on disco`s etc, at this point I gained the name "DJ Sid", yeah seems cheesy but it was a title that many punters liked to call me.
2003 my DJ career began to fall, competition was very high with many other DJ`s stepping in with their promotions. I was then employed by "Brian Brainstorm" who was greater manchester chairman for DJ`s.....big mistake as I got stung several times, eventually it all ended in my retirement.
2004 was my true rise when I started to better in full and original music production using Reason, which at the time was by far my most favourite tool which allowed me to produce some great sounds.
2005 I came across a website (now known as) v7music.com where I was welcomed by many other artists there who reviewed my productions and helped me with pointers to better them. Later that year I was briefly tutored by one of v7`s artists on how to fully use FL, from then on my productivity improved massively and it shown in the reviews I received such as: "love this mate ,,coolatmos vibes ,,super beats and wicked basses and fx ,,got this through me headphones and sounds well smart ,top track" and "Havin it big-style on this 1 mate.. I love it!!" just to point out a couple. My confidence has grown and grown along with my history of tracks which have gotten better and better in quality. I have earned a respectable number of people who appreciate and support my work which in turn helps me continue in my quest to unleash my full potentials. I then branch out further to see what else I can do when I soon after get contacted by Tribal Editor from level-1.org.uk (online radio site) who expresses interest in my productions and requests my permission to use them in his radio shows (TED), of course I was happy to allow it, and have been ever since.
2006 I request to Tribal Editor and his fellow site admin permission to begin broadcasting myself shows which would promote v7music, my music and just generally allow me to entertain listeners, permission granted I began, my shows a success even after several broadcasts which was a thrilling experience for me and allowed me to dust off my old presenting skills and in turn boost my confidence.
2007 my music productions increased in numbers but my radio broadcasts slow down...listener problem? No, simply I start getting tied up with many things which include my productions and my family.
October 2007, I finally get round to doing my first ever live PA set for TED 32 after many requests from Tribal Editor, the set is a success and I am thrilled at finally getting out live again.
And now.......well who knows?
