Born Kieran Evan Michael Mercer on June 18th 1988, Kieran was destined for great things. Not even 21 , Kieran has already discovered his own niche and voice in the world of music.
Growing up listening to his fathers vast record collection, he quickly grew a love for music by artists such as The Beatles, Buddy Holly, and The Beach Boys. Always a young kid with a huge imagination, he soon wanted to make music of his own and convinced his parents to buy him a guitar for Christmas. He started to form bands with his friends, entertaining other young children at his elementary school talent shows.
As Kieran got older, he started to take music seriously, and got serious about his writing. He stepped up his live shows by incorporating theatrics such as imitations of James Brown's live shows, and a very popular Michael Jackson "Billie Jean" dance routine.
Now 20, Kieran's music is pure; rich with raw emotion, and sharp simplicity. His music has a surreal, sometimes haunting effect that has listeners waiting on the next line to come. In this day and age, its rare, and extremely refreshing to hear an artist with such a fresh outlook and approach to creating music. Kieran Mercer is an up and coming songwriter and performer to be followed closely, for it will only be a matter of time until his music starts to turn heads around the world.
