So what is "The Taint" all about and why would ANYONE want to choose such an unfortunate name for a band?This was not intended to be your typical "let's practice for six months before we play out, create a setlist of songs people actually want to hear, have some posters printed professionally, make a demo tape, contact clubs, build a following, continue to practice, get better, sound good, draw an audience, have a plan, be on time, don't offend people, watch the drinking" kinda band. No sir. It was just the opposite. Our motto was (and is) "We suck, and we don't care" (actually now, the motto includes the mantra - "I hope I get kicked out of this fuckin' band"). So there is no plan, but two simple rules:1.) It can't be work...
2.) It hasta be fun.
Well, on the whole, it has continued to be both of those things. Everything you hear when you come to see this band (now and then), for better or worse, is just four guys, learning their parts in their cars, listening to each other, dropping that mother into fifth and feeling the love. Sometimes we call it a concept. Sometimes we call it Heaven. Sometimes we call it a fucking train wreck. The Taint is what reminds us of why we fell in love with rock and roll in the first place.We play music from bands we like as well as some originals and your favorite current flash in the pan radio numbers. So stop out, have several alcoholic beverages and be among the lovely and loving collection of hotties and hotheads, weirdos and wanderers, drunks and debutantes, freaks and geeks. It don't matter what or who you are, we get 'em all - short, tall, fat, thin, white, black, straight, gay, smart, stupid, babe-o-licious or repulsive: everybody is welcome.
