About Me

I'm a 28 year old musician, originally from Southern MD, now living in Augusta, GA. I've been playing music, guitar mainly, for about 18 years. I play virtually all instruments as well as write a ton of original music. For the last several years I've been playing 7-string guitars. I just dig that low tuned sound. I recently made the jump from Ibanez to Schecter. I really should be their spokesman as much as I promote their products to other musicians. I still own 1 Ibanez, the AXE 7, but mostly I play the Schecter 007 Elite or C-7 BlackJack. Both have tonepros bridges, set neck, seymour duncan pick-ups & both are excellent instruments. I play through a Peavey Ultra Plus !II half stack, but look foward to the day I can once again replace it with a Dual or Triple Rectifier. I use minimal effects. Really only Delay & Wah, but I sometimes throw in a Tremelo or Flanger. Experience has taught me to keep things simple.
I front a band out of Augusta called "The Stain Remains". Look for the link in my friends. The band itself has been around for a couple years but I just joined in late April/early May 2007 as vocalist & guitarist. We click pretty well, and I feel we're taking the band in a good direction. We've been developing a new modern sound somewhere along the lines of Breaking Benjamin, Korn, Tool, but still very original. We use 7-string guitars & 5-string bass, so we have a low tuned, thick & heavy sound, but we combine that with intricate rythmes & flowing melodies. Definately something different than any of the other bands in the CSRA. We're in the process of writing & recording some new material. Look for it on MySpace in the near future. We're gonna kick this areas ass.
But, I just moved to Augusta a little under a year ago. I left behind my 2 best friends BD & John from another band called "Blame The Victim". We recorded a couple albums, and toured all over the Mid-Atlantic region, rockin any house we could. I had a great time with them but chose to leave to pursue a better life for me & my family.
I'm really lucky to have the family I have. My woman, Lisa, is an awesome chick. She's good looking, fun, funny, hard working, and a great mom. She's also never complained about playing in a band which has taken me out of town alot, left me broke, and a whole list of other shit. She may be crazy, but I really appreciate her & what she does. I love her more than anything, well, besides our kids. We have 2, a boy and a girl, ages 4 & 2. My boy's name is Casey & my girl's name is Hannah. Sometimes I think they are straight outta hell. But I know they're just kids & that's what kids do. I could just be payback for me & Lisa being such rotten kids. It's all worth it though, little turds...
On a different note, I'm into a wide variety of shit. Art in many forms is a major interest of mine. I've always liked to draw. I really wouldn't mind trying to get a tattoo apprenticeship started somewhere. I've given myself 2 tattoos with pro machines, but I know it's gonna take lots of practice before I tattoo someone else. Maybe I should get a pet pig?? There's also painting, sculpture, photography, graphic design, all of which I've dabbled in.
To pay the bills I work in the HVAC industry. I've been at it for a lil over 10 years now. The trade has taken me places I never would have been otherwise, like the White House, Pentagon, Capitol Building, as well as numerous military installations. Now, I really specialize in residential replacements, but wouldn't mind getting back with a government or military contractor, more money. I guess it'll come with time. Maybe I can hold out for my music career to take off...
