Andy Geib

I've been playing the trombone for a long, long, long time. I attended the University of Arizona and studied with the master, Tom Ervin. After college, I toured with my band, the Wise Monkey Orchestra. We toured extensively, playing over 200 shows a year throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico from 1994-2002. We made 6 albums during that time, one earning "Best Jazz Album" at the San Diego Music Awards. I've recorded over 70 albums with various artists around San Diego and beyond. My playing was featured in the 2004 film "Stuck On You" where I played alongside my buddy Karl Denson. Currently, I still keep very busy playing around San Diego with Wise Monkey, Elijah Emanuel and the Revelations, Supabad (San Diego's All Star James Brown Tribute), Afrotruko, Gene Perry, Pocket and various other local bands and recording projects. I also spend a good portion of my time teaching privately and as a brass instructor at various San Diego schools (Lewis MS, Oak Valley MS!!!) and I am also Principal Trombonist with the Grossmont Symphony.der="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"
