Founded in 1999 this Band was set up as a fusion-Project in the beginning.
No Lyrics at all ???
It became boring soon for the most part. We were drifting in endless Jams.
A singer was added, somewhat 3 Songs arranged and a contest won with that.
The price was 2000 Deutsche Mark, which enabled us to record some of our early arrangements, that were quite funky.
We decided to add a horn section for the recordings, and suddenly we had a Line-UP of 10 People with very good skills.
So, the first EP Recording was a success. We sould our first load of 1000 copys after shows and through the website. The bombastic funky and latin arrangements, all handmade by the band and it´s musical director and Keyboarder Sebastian "Zap" Thimm had a "move your bum" guarantee built in.
Some local DJ´s here used a few of the tracks as funky floorfillers.
Also some airplay at local radio serving the "Lower-Rhine-Area" gained some
response and we sold some more copys.
Unfortunately our Drummer and our Singer decided to quit same time and we were close to a total break up unless we could aquire new People that fit in the concept. In a Band that writes own Songs, this is quite not an easy task, if you are out in the country with only very few talent to choose from.
However we got further and casted new personel and sucessfully added a new drummer and a brilliant singer. We went through a short phasis of
experimenting with to Lead-Singers (Girl/Girl) but that didn´t work out.
Our maximum Audience since now is somewhat 450 People on a self organised Gig and almost 1000 on some free open Airs.
That was a great success.
Right now the Band is stuck with working on the first Longplayer with about 10-12 Songs on it.
Inspired by Artists like Jamiroquai, Brand new Heavies, Michel Camillo, Erica Badhu, Stevie Wonder, Curtis Mayfield and many more Motown and Funky classics along with more modern flavours and styles, such as lounge, Trip Hop or Drum ´n Bass, this may be the final attempt for the Band to get the go.
A Unique and fresh style has been attested to the Band more than once throug audience and DJ´s as well as our Fans here locally that really dig our shit.
All Songs on the Player are more likely ruff mixed Demos from
little cellar Sessions. No overdubs added. Approx. Recordingtime
for most of the Songs was about 2-3 Hours per, or they were either Jammed in Live. So, any Label looking for inspired and skilled people they wanna throw some money after...... MAKE SOME NOISE ! Songs are ready, only a time and money issue :-)
